Cell-permeable, reversible β-secretase inhibitor. Corresponds to the VNL-DA cleavage site on APP. Inhibits Aβ formation (IC 50 values are 0.7 and 2.5 µM for Aβtotal and Aβ1-42 respectively). Shows neuroprotective effects.
