Centella asiatica is rich in active ingredients such as triterpenoid saponins (e.g., asiaticoside, madecassoside), flavonoids, and polyphenols, possessing significant antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and repairing functions. Centella asiatica-derived extracellular vesicles (CA-EVs) are natural vesicles extracted from the whole plant and leaves, enclosed by a phospholipid bilayer membrane, and carry functional molecules such as nucleic acids, proteins, terpenes, and flavonoids. They exhibit significant application value in inhibiting free radical damage, reducing inflammation, activating fibroblasts to promote collagen regeneration, strengthening the skin barrier, repairing wounds, and improving skin elasticity.
