Descripción general

Recombinant chondroitinase ABC can degrade chondroitin sulfate A, chondroitin sulfate C, and other chondroitin sulfates, as well as dermatan sulfate. This enzyme acts on the β1-4 glycosidic bonds between disaccharide repeat units through a β-elimination mechanism, cleaving them to generate unsaturated oligosaccharides or disaccharides. These products structurally feature △4,5-hexuronic acid (AUA).
