Cy5 DBCO is a derivative of the cyanine5 dye. The addition of the DBCO molecule allows for the compound to undergo copper-free Click Chemistry reactions.

Cy5 DBCO chloride is an azide reaction probe, and the addition of DBCO molecules can image azide labeled biomolecules through a copper free "Click Chemistry" reaction. Cy5 DBCO (chloride) is a click chemical reagent. It contains DBCO groups and can undergo strain promoted alkyne azide cycloaddition reactions (SPAAC) with molecules containing Azide groups.
