Descripción general

El DAF-2 es un indicador fluorescente sensible y específico para la detección directa de óxido nítrico (NO) in vitro. En presencia de oxígeno, el DAF-2, relativamente no fluorescente, reacciona rápidamente con el NO para dar lugar al compuesto triazolofluoresceína, altamente fluorescente. DAF-2 puede detectar NO en condiciones neutras (límite de detección = 5 nM).
