DiOC5(3) is a membrane potential (MP)-modifying fluorescent dye. It is an anti-LSC compound that can be used for diagnostic imaging. DiOC5(3) offers the advantage of being a single fluorescent chemical entity. As a carbocyanine dye, DiOC5(3) is widely used for the measurement of membrane potential.
