Descripción general

El difenilsilanodiol (DPSD) es un alcoxisilano que se utiliza como precusor a base de silano en la síntesis de resinas a base de organosiloxano.

El DPSD puede utilizarse como precursor en la síntesis de resinas de oligosiloxano de vinilo lineal que pueden utilizarse en la fabricación de encapsulantes de diodos emisores de luz (LED) térmicamente resistentes. El mercaptopropil-fenil-oligosiloxano y el fenil-vinil-oligosiloxano pueden sintetizarse utilizando DPSD, que puede utilizarse además como capa dieléctrica derivada de tioleno para transistores orgánicos de película fina.
