Descripción general

Duramycin is a polypeptide antibiotic with a defined 3-dimensional binding structure. Duramycin is the smallest known polypeptide, with only 19 amino acids. Duramycin enhances chloride secretion in airway epithelium. Duramycin is used in studies of cystic fibrosis and as a novel phosphatidylethanolamine-binding molecular probe. Duramycin is also known as Lancovutide, and Leucopeptin.
