Cell transport assay

Summary

Currently cultured cells can be sent to each other both domestically and internationally, for which a method of transporting the cells is required. Source of content: Tissue Culture and Molecular Cytology Techniques. (Beijing Publishing House)

Principle

Currently, cultured cells can be sent to each other at home, but also for international exchanges, for which there should be a method of transportation of cells. There are two methods of transportation: one is to use liquid nitrogen or dry ice preservation, the effect is better, but need to use special containers such as small liquid nitrogen tanks, etc., but also because of liquid nitrogen and dry ice evaporation can be faster, suitable for air transportation, more trouble; the other for the liquid filling method, more simple.

Move

For the liquid filling method, the shipment process is as follows

1. Select the cells in good condition, when they reach 80% or 90% confluence, remove the old culture solution and replace it with new culture solution, the amount should reach the neck of the culture bottle (too full for contamination). The amount should reach the neck of the culture bottle (overfilling is easy to contaminate), keep a little space, and cork the bottle tightly; Bubble movement during transportation with too much air can easily dislodge cells. 2. pack and ship properly;
2. Properly packaged and shipped; generally no serious effect on cell viability if it takes no more than four or five days to reach its destination. No serious effect on cell viability;
3. after arrival, pour out most of the culture medium, keep the normal amount, incubate at 37 ℃, and pass it on the next day.
