Operation method

Filtration sterilization test

Principle

The filtering parts of the bacterial filter device are made of ceramics, diatomaceous earth asbestos or glass powder, etc., whose pore size is smaller than the diameter of bacteria, which can block the bacteria from passing through. The commonly used types of bacterial filters are Zeiss filters, Beckfeld filters, glass filters and membrane filters. Bacteria filters are mainly used for the sterilization of heat-resistant culture media, serums, pharmaceutical solutions and other substances.

Move

1. Wrap the cleaned bacterial filters and filter bottles in paper or cloth respectively and autoclave sterilize them.

2. Assemble the sterilizer and filter bottle in an aseptic operation and make the side tube of the filter bottle connected to the extractor through the buffer bottle.

3. Pour the liquid to be filtered into the sterilizer and turn on the extractor.

4. When the filtration is complete, quickly and aseptically place the filtrate in a sterile container.

5. The used filter must be autoclaved and washed.
