How to choose positive controls for antibodies?

The use of positive controls is the basis for determining whether the antibody and detection system are working properly in an experiment, and for determining whether the protein to be tested is present in the specimen to be tested! This is especially true when the specimen being tested is not sure if the protein to be tested is expressed. Therefore, when there is no positive result, it is best to choose the appropriate positive control for the experiment. Most manuals have recommended positive controls; or look up the SwissProt or Omnigene databases in the manual, which often list tissues in which the protein is highly expressed, and which can be used as a suitable positive control.
