Isolation and identification process experiments of enteric pathogenic bacteria from fecal specimens

Materials and Instruments

Patient fecal specimen S-S agar plate Disaccharide iron medium Typhoid and Shigella multivalent diagnostic sera Carrier plate

Move

1. Specimen collection: Use a sterile swab to take fresh, urine unmixed patient feces (pus and blood or mucus portion is better) and send it for immediate examination.

2. Inoculate the specimen directly on S-S agar plate, make zonal delineation for separation, and incubate in 37℃ thermostat for 18~24 hours.

3. pick colorless transparent or translucent colonies inoculated with iron bisaccharides medium, at 37 ℃ incubator culture 18 ~ 24 hours.

4. further according to the situation for the indole test, fat da test and other biochemical reactions.

5. Use multivalent diagnostic serum for serological identification.
