I. Observation of morphological staining characteristics of pathogenic cocci

Observe the staphylococcus, streptococcus, pneumococcus, meningococcus and gonococcus gram-stained specimen slices. Pay attention to each. The morphology, arrangement and staining characteristics of the bacteria.

B. Observation of culture characteristics of pathogenic cocci

1. Observe the morphology, size, surface, edge, transparency, pigmentation and hemolysis of Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis colonies on the blood plate, the pigmentation of the bacterial moss on the agar slant medium, and the fermentation in mannitol medium.

2. Observe the morphology, size, surface, transparency and hemolysis of Streptococcus A and B colonies on blood plates.
