Natural aging model for experimental animals

Summary

The life process of mammals is very similar to that of humans. With ageing, the tissues and organs of the animal body show degenerative changes and aging phenomenon. For example, the immune system is the first barrier in the body to defend itself, with aging thymus degeneration and atrophy, T-cell function is low, autoantibodies increase, and the ability to respond to stimuli from foreign antigens is weakened. The immune changes in old age increase the incidence of certain age-related diseases.
