Glucose is the primary energy source for almost all living organisms, and blood glucose level is a critical diagnostic parameter for many metabolic diseases. The determination of glucose is of great significance in both basic research and the drug discovery process. This kit is suitable for the measurement of glucose content in a wide variety of biological samples, including animal and plant tissues, cells, serum (plasma), saliva, urine, and other bodily fluids. The assay principle is as follows: glucose oxidase catalyzes the oxidation of glucose to gluconic acid, producing hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂); under the action of peroxidase, H₂O₂ catalyzes the conversion of a non‑fluorescent substance into a fluorescent product. This product has an excitation wavelength of 535 nm and an emission wavelength of 590 nm, and its fluorescence intensity is directly proportional to the glucose content in the sample.
