Descripción general
H1-7 (histone H1 phosphorylation site), PKA Substrate is a synthetic peptide that acts as a pseudo substrate for PKA (cAMP-dependent protein kinase). This peptide was derived from the calf thymus histone H1 amino acid sequence about serine-38 and was used to research the reaction mechanism of the PKA catalytic subunit. H1-7 exhibits a greater absolute catalytic rate of phosphorylation than H1, an absolute Michaelis constant 40-fold greater than whole histone H1, but exhibits less affinity. Peptide sequence of H1-7: RRKASGP.
The peptide is to be dissolved in distilled or preferably sterile water first. The concentration should be high enough to allow addition of buffer after the product is dissolved completely.?If necessary dilute acetic acid or ammonium hydroxide, app. 1%
