Subchronic toxicity (subchronic toxicity) refers to the toxic effects that occur when experimental animals are exposed to a large dose of a foreign compound for many consecutive days, and the so-called large dose refers to the dose that is smaller than the acute LD50. The purpose of the subchronic toxicity test is to explore the threshold dose or threshold concentration of subchronic toxicity and the no-observed level (NOEL) during the subchronic test and to find the exposure dose and observation index for the chronic test.
