Summary

Flame photometric analysis is a kind of emission spectroscopy. Potassium and sodium atoms in the sample are excited by the thermal energy of the flame in the excited state, the excited state atoms are unstable, quickly return to the ground state, emit energy, emit radiation spectra of the unique wavelength of the element, using this principle can be analyzed by flame photometric analysis. The flame of potassium is dark red with a wavelength of 767 nm, and the flame of sodium is yellow with a wavelength of 589 nm. This experiment is from the laboratory guide of Mudanjiang Medical College, undergraduate 5-year testing program.

Principle

Potassium and sodium atoms in the sample are excited by the thermal energy of the flame in the excited state, the excited state atoms are unstable, quickly return to the ground state, release energy, emit radiation spectra of the element's unique wavelength, using this principle can be flame photometric analysis. The flame of potassium is dark red with a wavelength of 767nm, and the flame of sodium is yellow with a wavelength of 589nm.

I. HG3

1. Power on:

(l), turn on the power, open the power switch and pressure switch.

(2), when the pressure reaches 0.04MPa, open the gas valve, while pressing the ignition switch ignition, stabilization of 10 minutes after the measurement.

3、Measurement

(1) Zeroing: Twist the power switch to the measurement gear, turn the zero knob to zero with distilled water.

(2) Calibration. After zeroing, use potassium or sodium standard to adjust to the standard value position.

(3) Measurement: Inhale the sample to be measured, the measured value is the content of potassium or sodium in the specimen measured.

(4) Shutdown: Turn off the gas switch first, and then turn off the power switch.

Second, HG5 type

1、Power on:

(1) Turn on the power, open the power switch and pressure switch.

(2) When the pressure reaches 0.08MPa open the gas valve, the instrument automatically ignite, such as not lit. 15 seconds later, the instrument will automatically ignite again. Adjust the flame height to about 8mm, stabilize for 20 minutes.

2. Add samples: lithium in the standard wave for the dilution was, the specimen for 1:200 dilution that is the determination of the liquid.

3. Measurement:

(1) Zeroing with lithium internal standard dilution solution.

(2) Calibrate with potassium-sodium standard solution.

(3) Press the measuring knob or perform measurement.
