Descripción general

It is a naturally occurring 12-hydroxy fatty acid constituting about 90% of the fatty acids in castor oil. Has the ability to serve as a substrate for the synthesis of conjugated linoleic acids and is considered safe and non-toxic as a food constituent in human with up to 2.5 grams of daily intake. High doses of castor oil produce a laxative effect. Product is a neutral, more lipophilic form of the free acid that can be used as an analytical standard for ricinoleic acid.
A naturally occuring 12-hydroxy fatty acid.
