Descripción general

Se sintetiza mediante un haz molecular supersónico de vaporización por láser. Se ha estudiado mediante ionización de campo pulsado con energía cinética de electrones cero.
Se ha utilizado en la preparación de un nuevo tensioactivo gemini, N,N-dimetil-N-{2-[N′-metil-N′-(3-sulfopropil)-alquilamonio]etil}-1-bromuros de alquilamonio (2C(n)AmSb, donde n representa longitudes de cadena de hidrocarburos de 8, 10, 12 y 14), haciéndolo reaccionar con bromuro de n-alquilo. También se ha utilizado como componente amínico para la formación in situ de α-aminoalcóxidos.
