Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) is a kind of buffer used in biological research. It is a water-based salt solution, usually containing sodium phosphate, sodium chloride, and potassium chloride and potassium phosphate in some formulas. The osmotic molar concentration and ionic concentration of the solution match the osmotic molar concentration and ionic concentration of the human body (isotonic), and are non-toxic to most cells.

Product application:

Phosphate buffered saline has been used for the cumulative detection of bisbenzoimide. It has also been used in α Dilution capture antibody in hemolysin (Hla) enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).

Phosphate buffer salts can be used as reagents to separate human endometrial stem cells/stromal cells (hEnSCs) from endometrium or menstrual blood.

Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) is commonly used as a washing buffer in protein imprinting and immunoprecipitation (IP) procedures, and for sample preparation of cell lysates for general molecular biology applications.

The cell washings used as human dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) were used for perfusion of brain anatomical specimens. The washings used as neuron culture solutions for immunofluorescence and immunocytochemistry labeling of cell specimens were used as washings for ovaries and sperm during in vitro culture and fertilization.
