Descripción general

The solutions formed by PVP/VAc series products in water range from clear to turbid, with the degree of turbidity depending on the ratio of vinylpyrrolidone to vinyl acetate.These solutions exhibit slight acidity without electrolytic properties. 
Application
Poly(1-vinylpyrrolidone-co-vinyl acetate) can be used as a starting material to prepare quasi-solid polymer electrolytes (QSPE) for dye-sensitized solar cells. It can also be used to prepare polymer mixed membranes for pervaporation separation of ethanol and 2-ethylhexanol mixtures.
