GRADE & PURITYAnimal Free?Animal-free — produced without animal-derived components to reduce contamination risk. Use in biomanufacturing and culture avoiding animal-origin material.Carrier Free?Carrier-free — supplied without added carrier protein/stabilizer. Use when carriers (e.g. BSA) would interfere with conjugation or sensitive assays.Bioactive?Bioactive grade — verified to retain biological activity in functional assays. Use when the molecule must be functionally active, not just pure.ActiBioPure™?ActiBioPure™ — Aladdin's premier line for bioactive and recombinant products. Use when both high purity and preserved biological activity are required.High Performance?High-performance grade with optimized purity and performance characteristics. Use for sensitive analyses where ordinary grades fall short.for Cell culture?Cell-culture grade — low endotoxin and contaminants to support viable cell growth. Use in mammalian/other cell culture media and supplements.≥95%(SDS-PAGE)

Descripción general
Transferrin (TF) is the main iron-containing protein in plasma, which not only participates in iron transport and metabolism, but also regulates respiration, cell proliferation, and the immune system. It also has protective functions such as antioxidant and antibacterial effects and has a wide range of applications in cell culture. Transferrin exists in three forms: apo-transferrin (not bound to iron ions), holo-transferrin (bound to two iron ions), and partially saturated transferrin. This product is apo-transferrin and is suitable for iron-rich culture media. Application: It can be used in animal cell culture. Matters need attention: This product is for scientific research, laboratory and production use only, and is not intended for clinical treatment. It should not be used for animals and humans.

Mecanismos bioquímicos y fisiológicos
Transferrins are iron binding transport proteins which can bind two Fe(3+) ions in association with the binding of an anion, usually bicarbonate. It is responsible for the transport of iron from sites of absorption and heme degradation to those of storage
