El receptor celular 2 del virus de la hepatitis A (HAVCR2), anteriormente conocido como inmunoglobulina de células T y dominio de mucina-3 (TIM-3), es una glicoproteína transmembrana que se expresa en la superficie de las células Th1 diferenciadas terminalmente, pero no en las células Th2. Fue la primera molécula de superficie que identifica específicamente a las células Th1 tanto en el ratón como en el ser humano. Recientemente, la identificación de la Galectina-9 como ligando de TIM-3 ha establecido la vía TIM-3-Galectina-9 como un importante regulador de la inmunidad Th1 y la inducción de tolerancia. El compromiso de Tim-3 por su ligando galectina-9 regula negativamente la secreción de IFN-gamma e influye en la capacidad de inducir tolerancia de células T tanto en ratones como en el hombre. We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute at 1.0 mg/mL in sterile distilled water.
