Stearic acid-PEG-CH2CO2H, MW 5000 is an amphiphilic PEG polymer which forms micelles in an aqueous solution. The aliphatic chain of stearic acid can be used to encapsulate or congregate hydrophobic therapeutic agents while the PEG chain enhances overall solubility of the polymer.
