Descripción general
Tau conotoxin CnVA is a small peptide found in the venom of the Conus consors pit viper, belonging to the T1 pit viper peptide superfamily. Tau conotoxin CnVA shows a highly selective interaction with the somatostatin sst3 receptor ( K i =1.5 µM) and is the only toxin known to interact with this subfamily of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). Tau conotoxin CnVA can be used in the study of diseases associated with the sst3 receptor, such as pancreatic cancer or pituitary adenomas.
