This product consists of 10 protein bands ranging from 9 kDa to 180 kDa (9 kDa, 16 kDa, 25 kDa, 30 kDa, 38 kDa, 50 kDa, 64 kDa, 85 kDa, 125 kDa, 180 kDa). The low-to-high molecular weight range allows monitoring of protein separation during electrophoresis, determination of target protein molecular weights, and assessment of transfer efficiency in Western Blot experiments. The 9 kDa and 64 kDa bands are conjugated with green or red dyes, facilitating real-time observation of the electrophoresis process and determination of protein molecular weights.
Usage method:
1. Place at room temperature for several minutes before loading. After thawing, gently shake to ensure the solution is thoroughly mixed.
2. Load an appropriate volume into the gel wells. The recommended volume is 2–5 μL per well, which can be adjusted according to specific conditions.
3. After use, cap the tube and return it to 4°C or -20°C.
Note: Taking a 5 μL loading volume as an example, the protein content of each band is approximately 1–3 μg.
Precautions
1. This product already contains loading buffer. Use it directly; do not heat or boil.
2. To avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles and contamination, aliquot the product and store at -20°C.
3. The prestained protein molecular weight standard is intended only for approximate molecular weight reference; batch-to-batch variation is approximately 5%.
4. In low-concentration gels, low molecular weight bands may co-migrate with the dye front and cannot be resolved.
5. The migration of prestained proteins may vary in different gel and buffer systems. Calibration using a non-prestained protein molecular weight standard is recommended, and the product can be used normally after calibration.
6. The protein molecular weight standard may exhibit non‑specific binding to antibodies. This can be optimized by reducing antibody concentration, shortening incubation time, and decreasing the loading amount of the protein molecular weight standard.
7. For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during handling.
