UltraBio™ 0.1% Gelatin Solution (Embryo Cell Culture Grade)
Aladdin's UltraBio™ 0.1% Gelatin Solution (Embryo Cell Culture Grade) is sterile and can be used directly for embryonic stem cell culture. This product is mainly used for coating the surface of cell culture plates and petri dishes to promote the adhesion and the proliferation of mammalian cells.
Gelatin is the extracellular matrix protein collagen that has been irreversibly denatured, but still maintains part of its structure and some functional properties. It is extensively used to coat cell culture plates or dishes to promote cell adhesion and proliferation.
The surface of culture vessels after coating with this product supports the adherent culture and passage of conventional mammalian cells as well as embryonic stem cells. The coated culture vessels can also be used for mouse embryonic fibroblast culture with feeder function but loss of mitostic activity, directed differentiation of multiple germ layers of human embryonic pluripotent stem cells, and human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived embryoid bodies.
Please refer to Figure 1 for the cultured E14 mouse embryonic stem cells in 6-well plates coated with this product.

Figure 1. E14 mouse embryonic stem cells cultured in 6-well plates coated with the UltraBio™ 0.1% Gelatin Solution (Embryo Cell Culture Grade). Cell suspension was inoculated into a 6-well plate coated with this product and cultured for 3 days without feeder layer cell support. Scale bar, 100μm. This figure is for reference only, which may vary due to experimental conditions.
We recommend using 2ml of this product per well for 6-well plates and 100μl per well for 96-well plates.
