Principle
Scrub typhus mite body is small, only the larval stage of the parasitic life; rely on the host's tissue fluid as nutrition, the body is divided into two parts of the palpal body and the carapace, there are many kinds of species, the classification is mainly based on the shape of the carapace shields, shapes of setae and sensilla on the shield, the shape and location of the dorsal setae, the number of dorsal setae arrangement and number, the number of pedipalpalpal segments, and so on. The life history includes the stages of egg, pre-larva, larva, pupa, waking pupa, adult pupa and adult. Move Ground ciliate mite larval morphology: slide specimens illustrated: For more product details, please visit Aladdin Scientific website.
The larvae of the chigger mite are oval, less than 1 mm long, bright red in live larvae, grayish-white when sealed, and consist of a palatine body and a carapace.
The palpal body is located at the anterior end of the carapace, with a pair of chelicerae and a pair of antennae.
The dorsal front of the carapace has a shield, rectangular. The shield has 5 hairs and 1 pair of sensilla, which grow filamentous from the bulging sensilla base and are arranged in the middle. Eyes 1-2 pairs, on ocelli on either side of the shield. Ventrally there are three pairs of feet. On the carapace behind the shield plates there are 28 dorsal hairs arranged in a transverse row of 2-8-6-6-4-2=28.
