Product Introduction
A section is sandwiched between a slide and a coverslip, with a mounting medium applied in between to seal it off from contact with the outside air. This process is called mounting. On the one hand, it preserves the stained slides; on the other hand, the mounting medium with a suitable refractive index allows the tissue cells in the sample to be clearly visualized.
Fischor Mounting Medium is mainly composed of glycerol, gelatin, and a small amount of phenol. It can be used for mounting various routine sections and smears. This reagent is intended for research purposes only and not for clinical diagnosis or other applications.
Materials to Be Prepared by Users
Tissue samples, slides, coverslips, microscope
Operating Procedures (For Reference Only)
1. Cell Samples
① After staining, aspirate all liquid completely.
② Add 1-2 drops of Fischor Mounting Medium onto the slide, then place the coverslip with adherent cells onto the medium, ensuring the cells come into contact with the mounting medium and minimizing bubble formation.
③ Observe under a microscope.
2. Tissue Sections
① After staining, aspirate the staining solution.
② Add 1-2 drops of Fischor Mounting Medium onto the tissue section, then place a coverslip over it, ensuring the section is in contact with the mounting medium and minimizing bubble formation.
③ Observe the tissue section under a microscope.
3. Other Samples
Follow the procedures for cell samples or tissue sections.
Precautions
1. Mounted samples should be stored away from light.
2. The mounting medium appears solid at low temperatures. Before use, incubate it in a water bath at 37-50 °C until it is completely dissolved.
3. For your safety and health, wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during operation.
4. Please use the reagent as soon as possible after opening to avoid affecting subsequent experimental results.
