NG-497 is a selective human adipose triglyceride lipase ( ATGL ) inhibitor that targets the enzymatically active patatin-like domain of human ATGL. NG-497 has potential value for tumor research.

In Vitro

NG-497 selectively inactivates human and nonhuman primate ATGL but not structurally and functionally related lipid hydrolases and abolishes human adipocytes in a dose-dependent and reversible manner Lipolysis. NG-497 (40 μM, 80 min) reduces lipolysis-dependent respiration in HepG2 cells without impairing mitochondrial function through off-target effects. MCE has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
