The level of pollen viability directly affects the processes of pollination and fertilization, and is closely related to plant yield. By determining pollen viability, it is possible to understand pollen fertility and grasp the morphological and physiological characteristics of sterile pollen. Common methods for detecting pollen viability include the pollen germination assay, iodine-potassium iodide staining method, TTC staining method, and peroxidase test. The principle of this kit is based on the fact that normal, mature pollen grains possess strong viability and can germinate and grow under suitable culture conditions. The number of germinated grains can be directly observed and counted under a microscope to calculate the germination rate, thereby determining pollen viability. This product is intended for research use only and is not for use in diagnostic procedures or other purposes.
