In vitro

P110 is a Drp1-specific inhibitor that binds directly to Drp1. In some cases, this binding inhibits translocation to the mitochondria or prevents mitochondrial docking.

In vivo

P110 treatment inhibits the interaction of fission proteins Fis1/Drp1, decreases mitochondrial fission, and improves bioenergetics in three different rat models of IR, including primary cardiomyocytes, ex vivo heart model, and an in vivo myocardial infarction model.
