This product is a ready-to-use sterile solution prepared by dissolving polyethylene glycol (PEG1450) in phosphate-buffered saline and sterilized by membrane filtration. Its mechanism of action involves the alteration of cell membrane structure, promoting the dispersion and rearrangement of lipid molecules at cell contact sites, thereby inducing cell fusion through the mutual affinity of the lipid bilayer and surface tension. As a classic cell fusion agent, this product is primarily used in hybridoma cell fusion experiments for monoclonal antibody production. For research use only. Not for clinical diagnosis. Important Note When stored at 2–8°C, this product tends to become a viscous, semi-waxy, semi-solid mass due to aggregation of high-concentration polymer chains. This is an inherent physical characteristic of the formulation at this concentration and does not indicate product deterioration. Before use, warm the solution in a 37–50°C water bath until fully reconstituted and mix thoroughly to restore a clear, homogeneous liquid, after which it can be used normally for cell fusion experiments without compromising performance. Do not store at –20°C.
