Protein Function
Involved in FCER1 (high affinity immunoglobulin epsilon receptor)-mediated signaling in mast cells. May also be involved in BCR (B-cell antigen receptor)-mediated signaling in B-cells and FCGR1 (high affinity immunoglobulin gamma Fc receptor I)-mediated signaling in myeloid cells. Couples activation of these receptors and their associated kinases with distal intracellular events through the recruitment of GRB2.
Post-translational
Phosphorylated on tyrosines following cross-linking of BCR in B-cells, FCGR1 in myeloid cells, or FCER1 in mast cells; which induces the recruitment of GRB2.
May be polyubiquitinated.

IHC analysis of tonsil tissue by LAT2 Mouse mAb (Ab112832).IHC was performed using sections of the formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tonsil tissue. Antigen was retrieved through addition of boiling Tris/EDTA buffer pH 9.0 in a pressure cooker for 3 min. Endogenous peroxidase activity was quenched by incubating the sections with 3% H2O2 for 30 min at room temperature. The sections were then incubated with LAT2 Mouse mAb (Ab112832) at 7.5 µg/mL at room temperature for 1 h. Poly-peroxidase conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG was used as the secondary antibody. Diaminobenzidine was used as the chromogen. The section was counterstained with hematoxylin. A tissue section incubated with phosphate-buffered saline followed by incubation with the secondary antibody was used as the background control.Result: Germinal center cells and non-germinal center cells are positively stained at the cytoplasm and membrane.
