Cross-linked Allophycocyanin (APC) is a fluorescent phycobiliprotein with an extremely high absorbtivity, a high quantum efficiency and excitation and emission peaks at visible wavelengths. It can be easily linked to antibodies and other proteins by conventional protein cross-linking techniques without altering its spectral characteristics. This product is the brightest and most stable form of APC available. The αβ subunits of the APC have been crosslinked to provide increased structural integrity in the presence of chaotropic salts.
DO NOT FREEZECross-linked Allophycocyanin needs to be resuspended until no visible precipitates exist. Cross-linked Allophycocyanin is stored in salt solution and must be extensively dialized prior to use, or de-salted in the column to remove any remainin
