Descripción general

El monohidrato de ciclofosfamida es un agente alquilante y citotóxico que, según se ha demostrado experimentalmente, reticula el ADN, provocando la rotura de hebras e induciendo mutaciones. También se cree que posee propiedades inmunosupresoras. La ciclofosfamida monohidrato inhibe la ALDH1 (aldehído deshidrogenasa 1) a través de su producto de degradación, la acroleína, e induce la apoptosis en el timo de rata a través de la vía del ligando Fas/Fas.
Inductor de la apoptosis inmunosupresora y citotóxica.
