Descripción general
Ethyl 3,4-Dihydroxybenzoate is an antioxidant compound. It also exhibits anti-inflammatory, anti-parasitic, antibacterial, anti-metastatic, and anticancer activities. Protocatechuic acid inhibits TNF-induced expression and release of adhesion molecules and pro-inflammatory cytokines as well as ADP-induced expression of platelet P-selectin. This compound increases quinone reductase activity and acts as a radical scavenger. Protocatechuic acid ethyl ester inhibits RhoB activation, decreasing expression of matrix metalloproteinase 2 (MMP2) and inactivating NF-κB and also inhibits human topoisomerase II. An antioxidant
Phenolic compound. Substrate analog and competitive inhibitor of prolyl 4-hydroxylase. Protocatechuic acid ( Asc 2937 ) derivative. Shows cardioprotective, neuroprotective and antimicrobial effects in vivo.

Wherever possible, you should prepare and use solutions on the same day. However, if you need to make up stock solutions in advance, we recommend that you store the solution as aliquots in tightly sealed vials at -20°C. Generally, these will be useable for up to one month. Before use, and prior to opening the vial we recommend that you allow your product to equilibrate to room temperature for at least 1 hour.
