What is the difference between Human CD45RA and CD45RO?
CD45 is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase, also known as cluster of differentiation 45, that affects several signaling pathways, including the T-cell receptor (TCR) and the B-cell receptor (BCR), among others, by regulating the level of protein tyrosine phosphorylation.CD45 is widely present on the surface of the membranes of the cells of the hematopoietic system, and is expressed on all leukocytes . Six isoform molecules have been identified according to their extracellular de-epitopes, and three were identified on the surface of human cells, CD45RA, CD45RB, and CD45RO. T cells can be divided into two new subpopulations by applying this isoform molecule. T cells that have not been stimulated by antigen can be referred to as primitive T cells (Naive T cells, Tn), which are the CD45RA+ T cell population. Those that have been differentiated by antigenic stimulation are called memory T cells (Tm), which are CD45RO+ cells.
