Descripción general

El ácido fólico DSPE PEG, también llamado folato DSPE PEG, es uno de los derivados fosfolípidos PEG de Nanocs que pueden utilizarse para la orientación al receptor de folato. El ácido fólico también se conoce como vitamina M, vitamina B9 o ácido pteroil-L-glutámico. El ácido fólico es una molécula bioactiva esencial para numerosas funciones biológicas. Participa en la síntesis, reparación y metilación del ADN, además de actuar como cofactor en muchas reacciones biológicas. El DSPE es un fosfolípido de 18 C que posee una elevada hidrofobicidad. El PEG DSPE funcionalizado con ácido fólico es lipofílico y puede disolverse tanto en disolventes orgánicos como en solución acuosa. El PEG folato DSPE tiene una gran afinidad por el receptor de folato. Este material se ha utilizado para la administración selectiva de fármacos mediante liposomas.
