Mycoplasma Removal Agent Plus is designed to eliminate prevalent mycoplasma contamination in cell culture. It serves for both eradication and prevention of mycoplasma pollution, effectively removing various mycoplasma species and preventing recurrent contamination. This product is polypeptide-based; unlike antibiotics, it does not impair cell growth or induce drug resistance in cells.
Instructions for Use:
1. Prepare Mycoplasma Elimination Reagent Plus freshly before use, and maintain cell confluency at 50%–60% during treatment.
2. The recommended dilution ratio is 1:1000. For example, add 10 μL of Mycoplasma Elimination Reagent Plus to 10 mL culture medium and mix thoroughly.
3. Discard spent medium, wash cells thoroughly with PBS, then add fresh medium supplemented with Mycoplasma Elimination Reagent Plus. Treat cells once daily for 3 consecutive days, or once every two days for 5–6 consecutive days. Extend the treatment duration if severe mycoplasma contamination occurs.
4. If cells are sensitive to Mycoplasma Elimination Reagent Plus, treat them per the recommended parameters below:
|
5. After complete mycoplasma elimination, replace with fresh culture medium. Mycoplasma Prevention Reagent (Cat. No. M752155) may be supplemented to the medium to prevent secondary mycoplasma contamination.
Precautions:
1. This product is for research use only and exclusively acts as a mycoplasma elimination additive for cell culture medium.
2. It exhibits extremely low cytotoxicity at the recommended working concentration. Tested applicable cell lines include mouse embryonic stem cells and iPSCs, human embryonic stem cells and iPSCs, HEK293, HeLa, MCF7, HepG2, CHO-K1, HCT116, NIH-3T3, Vero, BHK21, HT29, IEC-6, MDCK, PC-12, U2OS, etc. Conduct a preliminary trial for specialized functional cells to verify potential cytotoxicity.
