Propargyl-PEG1-SS-PEG1-acid is a Click Chemistry-ready crosslinker containing a propargyl group, a cleavable disulfide bond and with a terminal carboxylic acid. The terminal carboxylic acid can be reacted with primary amine groups in the presence of activators (e.g. EDC, or DCC) forming a stable amide bond. The propargyl groups can be reacted with azide-bearing compounds or biomolecules via copper catalyzed azide-alkyne Click Chemistry to yield stable triazole linkages.
