Product usage advice
Shelf life: 36 months
pH Range: 7.2 - 7.8
Active ingredients and principle of action
These stabilizer solutions are based on aqueous buffer systems containing bovine serum albumin and other protein stabilizing additives to stabilize different kinds of biomolecules.
Characterized by low chaotropic ion concentration, it is suitable for very sensitive proteins such as IgM-type antibodies or toxins.
The solution contains bactericides to prevent spoilage of microorganisms. Biocides are hazardous to aquatic life (see Safety Data Sheet). When used for attended purposes, it is not expected to present a hazard to laboratory workers and the environment.
To stabilize proteins or other biomolecules, the solution provides optimal environmental conditions regarding pH, ionic strength, hydrophilic-hydrophobic, and ionic interactions to ensure conformational and functional safety. Different solutions facilitate different types of molecular interactions corresponding to different classes of biomolecules.
Main advantage
Stabilizers for sensitive biomolecules such as protein hormones or membrane proteins
Storage, Shipping and Filling Information
Should be stored in an airtight container at 2 – 8 °C. Shelf life in unopened original packaging is 36 months from the date of manufacture.
Solutions can be shipped at ambient temperature. Temperatures above 30°C should be avoided. Shipping time should be less than one week.
Any filling or decanting into other containers must go into a clean container under low bacteria conditions.
Frozen solutions must be thoroughly mixed after thawing and can be used without restriction thereafter.
Solutions that appear cloudy should not be used as this may be a sign of contamination.
General Instructions for Use
It should only be handled by qualified personnel familiar with the production of immunization tests.
This solution contains bovine serum albumin. This may result in slight changes in product attributes. Therefore, it is recommended to check the application of each new batch in the planned test system. Different batches can be booked.
The stabilizer solution was used undiluted. Biomolecules should be diluted gradually in the stabilizer solution, depending on the initial concentration and the planned final concentration. Depending on the test system requirements, concentrations between 0.5 ng/ml and over 5 µg/ml are suitable.
Substrate-based standard or control solutions are suitable for ELISA, microarray and membrane-based assays.
To suppress adverse effects, for example HAMA binders and/or other species-specific proteins can be added to the solution.
Waste
Disposal of waste must comply with national and local laws and regulations. Disposal of packaging must comply with national and local disposal regulations.
