Experiments on the preparation of solution-type liquid pharmaceuticals

Summary

Solution-type liquid pharmaceuticals are liquid pharmaceuticals formed by dispersing small molecules of drugs in a solvent in a molecular or ionic (diameter of 1 nm or less) state. Some of the liquid agents that belong to solution type are: solution, syrup, glycerin, aromatic water and spiritus. These dosage forms are named based on the difference between solute and solvent. From the point of view of the dispersion system are low molecular solution (true solution), from the point of view of the preparation process, the preparation of these dosage forms, although not exactly the same, and each has its own characteristics, but as a solution of the basic method of preparation is the dissolution method.

I. Preparation
1. Weighing of drugs Solid drugs are often measured in grams, according to the amount of drugs, the use of different rack and pan balance weighing. Liquid drugs are often measured in milliliters, using different measuring cups or cylinders. Less liquid drugs, can also be used dropper counting the number of drops to take (standard dropper at 20 ℃, 1 ml of water should be 20 drops), after measuring the liquid drugs, should be a little water to wash the measuring device, the wash liquid and containers, in order to reduce the loss of drugs.

Solubility of the drug can be directly added to dissolve; not easy to dissolve the drug, should be studied first, stirring to dissolve, if necessary, can be heated to promote its dissolution; but the heat decomposition of the drug is not suitable for heating and dissolution; a small amount of drugs (eg, poisons) or additives (such as co-solvents, antioxidants, etc.) should be dissolved; insoluble drugs should be added to the first soluble, can also be used to increase the solvency, dissolution, or the choice of mixed solvents and other methods of solubility; No preservative ability of the drug should be added preservatives; easy oxidation of unstable drugs can be added antioxidants, metal complexing agents and other stabilizers, as well as adjusting pH, etc.; thick with easy to change can be diluted and then mixed; alcoholic preparations, such as tincture added to the aqueous solution, the addition of the speed should be slow, and should be added while stirring; liquid drugs and volatile drugs should be the last to join.
3. filtration solid drugs dissolved, generally have to filter, according to the need to use glass funnel, Brinell's funnel, pendant glass funnel, etc., the filter material has degreased cotton, filter paper, gauze, silk cloth, etc..
4. Quality inspection The finished product shall be inspected for quality.
5. Packaging and labeling After passing the quality inspection, quantitatively divided into appropriate clean containers, plus labeling to meet the requirements of the label.
II. Specific operations
Take talcum powder, drops of peppermint oil, in the milk bowl research, add a small amount of distilled water into a paste, continue to add distilled water grinding, transferred to the measuring cup with water to the full amount, with a moist cotton ball or filter paper filtration, the initial filtrate, such as turbidity, should be re-filtered, and then to the filter with an appropriate amount of distilled water to make 1000 ml that is obtained.

Caveat

1. Filtration with skimmed cotton should not be too much, but should be made into cotton balls stuffed funnel neck.

2. skimmed cotton wool moistened with water, repeated filtration, without changing the filter material.

3. in the case of fresh mint, it can be prepared by steam distillation.

4. mint water can be prepared by solubilization.
