Cre recombinase (Cyclization Recombinase) is a protein composed of 343 amino acids derived from bacteriophage P1. It is a member of the tyrosine site-specific recombinase family and can catalyze recombination reactions between specific recognition sequences on DNA. Cre recombinase can bind to loxP sites on DNA and perform precise cutting and ligation operations between these sites, thereby leading to deletion, inversion, or translocation of DNA fragments.
This product uses a 5'Cap 1 structure with a capping efficiency of ≥95%, and its 3' end is designed with a poly(A) tail of approximately 100nt in length. Meanwhile, Cre mRNA encodes a Cre protein with N-terminal and C-terminal nuclear localization signals (NLS). Introducing two NLS signals into the mRNA can increase the frequency of its delivery to the nucleus, thereby improving DNA editing efficiency.
