DBIBB mitigates the gastrointestinal radiation syndrome, increases intestinal crypt survival and enterocyte proliferation, and reduces apoptosis . DBIBB represents a agent candidate capable of mitigating acute radiation syndrome caused by high-dose γ-radiation to the hematopoietic and gastrointestinal system.
