Overview
Dehydrocorydaline chloride (13-Methylpalmatine chloride) is an alkaloid that regulates protein expression of Bax, Bcl-2; activates caspase-7, caspase-8, and inactivates PARP[1]. Dehydrocorydaline chloride elevates p38 MAPK activation. Anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer activities[2]. Dehydrocorydaline chloride shows strong anti-malarial effects (IC50?=38 nM), and low cytotoxicity (cell viability?>?90%) using P. falciparum 3D7 strain.
Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor. Inhibits antigen-induced histamine release from mast cells. Inhibits nicotine-induced relaxation and concomitant noradrenaline release ex vivo. Shows antiallergic and nematocidal effects in vivo.

Note
Wherever possible, you should prepare and use solutions on the same day. However, if you need to make up stock solutions in advance, we recommend that you store the solution as aliquots in tightly sealed vials at -20°C. Generally, these will be useable for up to one month. Before use, and prior to opening the vial we recommend that you allow your product to equilibrate to room temperature for at least 1 hour. This compound belongs to the class of organic compounds known as protoberberine alkaloids and derivatives. These are alkaloids with a structure based on a protoberberine moiety, which consists of a 5,6-dihydrodibenzene moiety fused to a quinolizinium and forming 5,6-Dihydrodibenzo(a,g)quinolizinium skeleton.
