Operation method
Morphological observation experiments on helminth dwelling nematodes
Principle
Enterobius vermicularis (Enterobius vermicularis), also known as pinworms (pinworm), can cause pinworm disease (enterobiasis), is a worldwide distribution, children are more commonly infected. Pinworm parasites in the human large intestine and the lower part of the small intestine, the female worm in the anus around the eggs, eggs after a short period of time to develop into infectious eggs, mainly through the mouth and make people infected, can also be infected themselves. Move I. Self-observation human pinworm egg (Enterobius vermicularis) For more product details, please visit Aladdin Scientific website.
1. Pinworm egg slide specimen: pinworm eggs persimmon nucleus-shaped, one side protruding, one side flattened, egg shell thick, colorless and transparent, the egg contains a larva. Because the eggs are colorless and transparent, the aperture should be narrowed to make it easier to find, move to the center of the field of view after finding it, and change the high magnification observation.
2. Adult pinworm slide specimens: observe adult pinworms with the naked eye, noting their size, shape and color.

II. Demonstration
1. Pinworm head (slide specimen): Pinworms, both male and female, have a neck wing on their head and an esophageal bulb on their esophagus; these two structures are important for identifying pinworms.
2. life history of pinworms (bottle specimen): note the parasitic site, stage of infection and mode of infection of pinworms.
3. pinworm eggs (clear adhesive paper method): note that the eggs already contain developed larvae, which are infective.
Third, the technical operation: transparent adhesive paper inspection of burning worm eggs, the method is simple and easy to implement (see the textbook of experimental diagnostic techniques in the operation part, but should pay attention to the following points:
1. The adhesive paper should be tightly attached to the patient's anal skin folds, but one end should be left, so as to facilitate from the skin down on the slide.
2. After taking the eggs from outside the anus, the examination should immediately wash the hands so that the eggs will not contaminate the fingers and accidentally get infected in the mouth.
3. The light should be dimmed during the examination and care should be taken not to mistake the air bubbles for pinworm eggs.
