GRADE & PURITYNative?Native grade — protein/biomolecule in its natural (non-recombinant, non-denatured) form. Use when native structure and activity are required.≥80%(SDS-PAGE)≥0.15 U/mg protein; Protein ≥40%, Originating from bovine liver
Native,≥80%(SDS-PAGE),≥0.15 U/mg protein; Protein ≥40%, Originating from bovine liver Native for sensitive chromatographic and analytical workflows requiring minimal baseline interference.

Übersicht
β-galactosidase cleaves lactose into its monosaccharide components, glucose and galactose. It also catalyses the transglycosylation of glucose into allolactose, the inducer of β-galactosidase, in a feedback loop. Application β-galactosidase was used in the production of a stabilized, single reagent for alcohol analysis.

Biochemische und physiologische Mechanismen
Cleaves beta-linked terminal galactosyl residues from gangliosides, glycoproteins, and glycosaminoglycans. Catalytic activity: Hydrolysis of terminal non-reducing beta-D-galactose residues in beta-D-galactosides.
