Nattokinase (CAS No.: 133876-92-3, EC 3.4.21.62), derived from Bacillus subtilis.
It’s a food-grade alkaline serine protease refined and extracted through deep liquid fermentation.
This product is an effective fibrinolytic enzyme, it can break down blood clots through directly hydrolyzing fibrin and fibrinolytic substrates, which can be used in the the study of cardiovascular diseases.
Product Feature
Product appearance: Off-white to light brown powder, the colour may vary from batch to batch. Product odor: Slight odor of fermentation
Standard enzyme activity: Not less than 20,000 FU/g
Enzyme activity definition: Nattokinase reacts with fibrin to hydrolyze the fibrin peptide bond, and the hydrolysis reaction causes a change in the absorbance of the solution at 275 nm in the UV light. One unit of viability (1 FU) is the amount of enzyme consumed to make the absorbance value increase by 0.01 per increase in absorbance at 275 nm.
Application Principle and Method
Fibrin is the main component of blood clots, which is a protein composed of polypeptide chains with strong stability and adhesion. Fibrinolytic enzyme can cleave the peptide bonds of fibrin, breaking it down into small molecules, thereby dissolving blood clots. The main function of nattokinase is to activate fibrinogen and convert it into fibrinolytic enzyme, thereby breaking down fibrin in blood clots and allowing them to dissolve.
The thrombolytic effect of nattokinase has strong selectivity and specificity, and it can only act on fibrin in blood clots without affecting healthy blood vessel walls. Therefore, nattokinase is considered a safe and effective thrombolytic agent, which has been widely used in cardiovascular clinical treatment.
To prevent cardiovascular disease, the recommended dosage is 2000FU per day; For patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, it is recommended to take 4000-6000FU per day.
